(geddit? – AfriGreater)
So it’s 2009. Already. My brain’s been having a hard time dealing with the fact that we’re in a new year. I still keep writing 2008 all over the place and I’m still throwing around the expressions ‘next year’ every time I refer to January. I guess it’s cos there was so much going on in the festive season that I still feel like I’m stuck in it.
But here we are, a new year with new things to do and old things to finish up. And it’s on that note that I’m very happy to announce the winners of the Afrigreater December competition
Before I name the new famous five, a quick apology from me for being a little tardy on the delivery of these names. I guess my pet peeve with Afrigator is that the Marketing guy gave out the competition results so late. Anyway, I digress.
In the category of best post about a bad thing from a great service, the winners are (drum roll please)
- http://expensivemistakescheapthrills.co.za (that’s two wins now!)

Congrats all, you deserve the very cool Springleap T shirts that you’ve won
Now the fun part starts for us here at the Gator Pen- we’ve made a (loooooong) list of all the things that you think we could be doing better and we’re slowly making our way through the list. It’s going to be quite a process, but we know that at the end of it all we’ll have an even greater Gator
For those of you who’ve made New Year’s resolutions, I hope at least some of them are intact, lol. Quite a few of mine are already smushed and January’s only just hit double digit dates.
Until next time, keep on blogging
P.S – something that bothers me is that lack of entrants outside of South Africa – I would love to be sending more prizes to Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt and everywhere else in Nigeria. Why the lack of entries from further up the continent? Any thoughts? See how cool Nigerian blogger Opeyemi looks in his Springleap T shirt
